Best Buy Store Purchase

I recently drove to my nearest best buy to purchase a $75 prepaid Verizon refill card using a $80 gift card and the transaction seemed promising until I was told: sorry it did not work. What should I do try again in store? Buy it online? Thanks in advance. By the way I've only ever had good experiences at best buy. 5 star customer service! I am grateful for your support.

that post was from 2017, i belive the pocily was changed late last year (2018) that you cant use a gift card to purchace another gift card in any form both online and at the store.

I totally understand the need for a Verizon refill card. Unfortunately, Best Buy gift cards cannot be used to purchase a Verizon refill card. As per our Gift Card FAQ: No. Best Buy gift cards cannot be used to purchase prepaid open-loop cards and third party gift cards (including iTunes, Google Play, gaming or any other prepaid gift cards or code.
