The Sling TV codes you'd receive from a qualifying purchase at Best Buy should be for a 30-day trial. However, you need to create your account using the code provided by Best Buy in order to start your trial period. If you try to apply the promo code to an existing account—even one that was created moments ago—it would not properly activate and you’d likely end up with Sling’s standard one-week trial period instead, which cannot be reversed.
If you have an unused code, I’d recommend using that to create your account on Sling’s website here.
