I bought an HP Laptop in Best Buy in Guadalajara Mexico and after one month it stopped working, I took it to Best Buy in Plaza Galerias, same place I bought it in December 2018. The technician took it for inspection and after a week the report indicated the laptop was damaged due to salt water! I kept it in my office the entire time, notice that Guadalajara does not have a beach and the laptop was never closed to water! That was ridiculous, their answer was that I should’ve bought the insurance! and that they could not do more. I took it directly to HP and was told that the laptop was damaged and some original pieces were replaced. I have heard from many people these type of situations are not unusual in this location, I asked to talk to the store manager and he/she was never available. I am so disappointed (and beyond upset) for this situation, I live in the US and I have always received an excellent service from Best Buy reason why I decided to purchase the laptop there but apparently the service is not the same in this location. Is there anything at all I can do? Thank you
