Best Buy is still pulling this scam in 2018 in Vauxhall New Jersey
Harmony elite listed for 279. Sign next to it says $100 off if you turn in an old one (except 350 model) Best Buy sales rep said I could bring in my old one (not 350) which I was happy to do because it no longer worked. Take it to the service counter he said.
Go home, get the old one and bring it to the service desk who doesn’t know about the program.
Go get their sign and give it to them. Cory the manager can’t find it in the system. Link to program on sign is broken.
Offers $50 off. I ask for $100 like his sign. He says small print on sign says not offered at all locations so he doesn’t have to honor it.
SERIOUSLY? HIS POSITION IS THE POINT OF SALE SIGN IN HIS STORE EXCLUDES HIS STORE
Have spent thousands at Best Buy in past . No more. Walked out.

Purchasing a new Harmony Elite Remote should be an exciting time, especially when there's a promotion for $100 off if you can trade in your old model. It's discouraging to hear this purchase took an unexpected turn when you spoke to a manger about getting the offer honored. That is far from the level of customer service we strive for, so I can certainly understand why the experience would rub you the wrong way.
