How are you so for the last 3 weeks I have gone to this store to purchase a gaming pc and for the last 3 weeks this store has had absolutely 0 inventory. So yesterday I decided I would just build my own pc I went into the store with a list had sku# model numbers etc told the guy what I wanted and somehow he still managed to sell me the wrong ram. While I was there I had asked to pre order the Nvidia rtx-3080 which is coming out tomorrow when I asked 3 different employees told me there is no such card and tried to offer me a rtx-2080ti for $1,200. I said no I want to get the 3080 not only is it half the price of the 2080 it’s also 2x more powerful. The employee looked it up and said I could not reserve the card for the release and that I would have to go to the store and wait for them to open and good luck to me getting the card because store employees get first dibs. I am extremly annoyed and upset with this particular employee it’s the same one who apparently cannot read a sku# off a box. I had the money in hand to order the card the website says coming soon release 9/17/2020 which is why I wanted to pre order it. The odds of me making it to the store and getting a that gpu tomorrow is almost impossible as I am disabled and cannot drive and on top of all this he tried to sell me some kinda computer class for $200 a year seriously I wouldn’t buy parts if I didn’t know what I was doing. Please let me know if there is anyway to pre order that gpu as I can’t make it to the store first thing when it opens and certainly cannot wait on a line as I stated I am disabled and can hardly walk let alone wait on line. I would appreciate any help also you have a price match guarantee I showed the employee the same cpu I bought yesterday was on sale for $40 less at micro center he said they do not offer price matching with micro center the employees at this store are the worst I have ever seen they just want you out of the store and have no knowledge of PCs or parts for that matter as I asked the guy ohhhh the cpu will work with this mobo right I knew it would before I asked but he said he had no idea and if it didn’t I could return within 14 days these are your employees it’s kind of a joke to be honest guess I’ll have to wait for the next batch of these GPUs because they will be sold out within 6 seconds of the store opening kinda sucks but maybe can find one at micro center that’s a $700 loss for Best Buy because your employees didn’t want to help me

Like you, when I visit a store, I have the expectation that I'll receive the help I need and be able to check out the products in which I'm interested. It can certainly be aggravating if the store representatives don't seem inclined to provide the assistance you require--as you've described--and even more so if wrong products are provided. I regret that this has been your experience at our Levittown location.

 

To my understanding, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 was not available for pre-order. It's disappointing to hear that you were not made aware of this in clearer language during your visit to the store. 

 

Our store should be able to offer a price match to our competitors as long as our requirements are met. Did the store representative offer an explanation for declining the price match you requested?

 

Regarding your experience with our associates, did you elect to speak to a manager during your visit?

I did not but I went again yesterday and spoke to the sales rep the same one that sold me the wrong things and wouldn’t do a price match about the rtx-3080. I was told they would be available to order online between 5-6 am so I stayed up all night to order and the link never went active. He had also stated come to the store today early and I would be able to get a card so I sat outside the store from 8am-10am I was the only person waiting when they opened I went inside and was told I don’t know what happened but there sold out. I don’t know how these were sold out the bb website the listings never went active just kept saying coming soon and today’s date then late last night the dates were removed from the listings. I am very annoyed and aggravated I’m disabled I can’t just come to the store at any point in time and I explained that to the employee and then I post something on Twitter with responses saying your site allowed bots and scalpers purchase as well as employees before customers. I take that with a grain of salt how ever with what has happened with these cards me staying up 24hrs waiting at the store for 2 hours for this to happen I’m starting to think employees pre purchased all the cards before the store opened. I can’t prove it so that why I’ll leave it alone but for someone to tell me 2 days in a row to come to the store then to make sure I’m online from certain times to get the card today I do as I’m told to only be left empty handed. This is very frustrating and annoying and I am not the only person this happened to today if you go on Twitter it all over the site. Also I tried to call multiple times today to speak to someone I was on hold over a hour 1 time with no answer then again for 45 min with no answer you see where this is going then I even tried the help chat online and kept getting told the wait time was 5 minutes then when they saw what I was asking about they said they needed to get someone else and well 2 hours I waited online for a rep. This is my experience with Levittown Best Buy I have been shopping there for 12+ years and I have had a handful of bad experience but this just ruined it for me I’m beyond angry and annoyed and the fact your employee steered me in the direction he did man I’m angry. I don’t know if I will be coming there when the 3080 becomes available becuase I don’t know if I want to continue doing business at that store I’m sorry but it’s was that bad.
