LG QNED MiniLED 90 Series

Purchased this open box.  Saleswoman stated it was a return.
Going through advance settings and showing 10,400 hours of use!!!

Any recourse?
I would need to rent a truck to return.

Thanks

Re: Felt cheated with high end TV purchase in Open Box Excellent condition

Hello, Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out about your recent TV purchase. I can understand discovering that the TV had been used for so many hours, wouldn't be welcome.

With open-box items sold by our stores, there is a variety of scenarios that can cause the item to be labelled that. The most common reason is if the product had been returned after being used, but they may also have been displays used in our store. In reviewing the removed receipt information that you shared, it does appear that the TV you purchased was a display model, and not a return.

That said, I'd be happy to discuss options with you regarding this. I'll be sending you a private message to begin that discussion. To check your messages, simply ensure you are logged into our forum, and then click the envelope icon in the upper right corner of this page.

Sincerely,

Should there be any concern on the longevity with that many hours?

MIni led has no burn in issues?

Tv seems good.  Wish I never found that setting.  Lol

Re: Felt cheated with high end TV purchase in Open Box Excellent condition

I found this tv online and decided to go look at it first.  It was $531.99.  I just noticed I was charged $565.99.

Maybe there was two of these tv's?  If not I was overcharged $34?

Seems deceptive.  They also sold me a remote that ended up not working.   Had to return.

Re: Felt cheated with high end TV purchase in Open Box Excellent condition

Hi again, Jeff,

These are some great questions to consider.

As I understand, mini-LED TVs should not experience burn-in, like some other technologies may experience. Based on what I was finding about the lifespan of the TV, industry standards appear to indicate that the TV should last 100,000 hours, however, there are many factors that could change this. I'd reach out to LG support to see if they can offer any additional information on this. Being that it was an open-box item, you should still qualify for the full one-year warranty. If LG does not honor this for some reason due to it having been used in the store, you'll still qualify for service through us.

As far as the pricing, since each open-box model may have varied conditions, the pricing for each unit could vary, as well. I am not currently seeing any of this model available in your area, so I'm unable to determine what the costs may have been, or if it was for a TV at the store that you had visited. It may have been the store did have two available, or the one that was showing online, may have been at another local store that could be transferred. It's for this reason, we generally recommend that if you see a product listed online that you are interested in, place the order so that our stores can ensure that the item is ready and waiting for you when you arrive.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Melissa
