Purchase new IPhone cannot get 100 gift card

I purchased and activated a new iPhone 8 on Oct 1. I went to my local store to show them the $100 gift card add I received days after purchase. Why did they refuse to give me the gift card? I am within the two week window for the promotions and offers

Promo needs to be used at time of purchase. Would need to return and re buy. There would be 35 re stock though if done and phone was opened

Hello Scottcorbo3376,

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry to hear that you have missed out on the free $100 gift card offer that we are currently running.

As Chris31876 noted, the best way to take advantage of this promotion would be to return the iPhone and re-purchase a different phone by using the coupon to get the gift card as these coupons need to be used at the time of purchase. Under our Price Match Guarantee coupons are not something that we would be able to price match, nor are free-with-purchase offers.

Please be aware that there would be a $35 restocking fee, and depending on the carrier plan that you are on you may not be able to re-purchase the same phone. Additionally, if the cost on the phone or the plan has changed since you made your initial purchase you would instead need to pay the current cost, even if that ends up to be higher than what you paid initially. If you do decide to go this route please let me know and I’ll be happy to check in with the local store leadership before you head in to give them a heads up about this.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,
