Purchase complaint

Hello at your Best Buy store in Greece, NY I purchased a 43" TCL TV along with a 2 year protection plan on May 11th, less than 30 days after I realized the TV was a bit small for the new apartment I moved into on June 1st. I brought the opened but perfect condition TV to the store and was denied an exchange by a Manager/Lead Nick {removed per forum guidelines} for a 50" TCL which was about 40 dollars more due to a recent sale. I asked for a district or regional managers Information and denied by all of the staff any way to formally reach out and ask for an exception to the 15 day return policy.

If I had made this purchase at Target or on Amazon I wouldn't have had an issue. I'd like some help as a long time customer who has almost never had to do a return and this being my first TV purchase I'm extremely disappointed what can you do to keep from me from going to your competitors for all future purchases?

We aim to have the shopping experience be one that is seamless and as welcoming as possible. I know how disappointed it can be to go passed the return period with an item that doesn't seem to fit the bill. For future reference, our core customers have a 15 day return and exchange period from the date of purchase. Elite and Elite Plus members receive 30 and 45 days respectively. That being said, exceptions are generally not an option and any that are given are at the discretion of the store.
