Problem with the Gift card purchase!

Good Evening!
 
Kindly be informed that i have purchased 4 Delta gift cards worth of $250 ($1000) on 13th December. I have clearly stated that i have reserved the flight ticket and i like to purchase the Delta Flight ticket today  and if i dint book the ticket i will not get the same ticket, so could you please check and tell me whether The below Gift card will work for booking the ticket now. That associate has clearly stated that it will work once you purchase and also i specifically told him to double check. So he went back to his Manager and confirmed that you can book the ticket by using this gift cards.
 
I have tried booking the flight and it has not allowed me and i checked with delta and they have clearly confirmed that it will get activated only after 24 hours. So i reached the best buy to return the Gift card but they are telling that Gift cards cannot be returned back.
 
So due to this i am not able to book the ticket and and next day ticket price has went way higher(More than $300 increase per ticket) . Kindly note that this is surely because of Best buy store problems and your team is responsible. I have not done any mistake but this has taken me to a huge loss. Only thing is i have beleived in BEst buy store and purhased for this huge amount of Gift card. In this case if i call Delta they are conveying that i need to reach to best buy and best buy is telling you need to reach to Delta. And its going back and forth. I need the genuine solution for this case and the money i wasted. 
 
Kindly note that i am a premium customer who was using the Best buy for many purchase. Even i have purchased a laptop one week back. Surely i need you to help me on the same. If this was not resolved surely it will not allow me to come back to Best buy on any purchase. I am planning to escalate this and take it to any next level. I need the Justice for it and i cannot go back and forth. 
 
I am still believing in best buy and waiting for the positive feed back.Please help me to get the money refund or and other method of reimbursement for this inconvenience . This is really genuine scenario and i have told everything clearly upfront to the Best buy associate. Thanks alot in advance. Waiting for the positive feedback and hope that your leadership team will give the right Justice for me who is a genuine and premium best buy customer.  I can also provide any addition information or proof if needed.

After searching on Delta’s site, it appears it says you can book flights using the gift cards so I don’t think it is any incorrect information from the Best Buy employee. It is true that gift cards can not be returned but I think the person at Delta you spoke to is mistaken.

I know we can use gift card to book the flight in delta. The problem i mentioned is i have bought the gift card  and it took 24 hours to get activated . After a day only i can use the Gift card to book the flight. Delta team also confirmed that you can book the flight only after 24 hours after purchasing the gift card. But your best buy employee told we dont need specific time for activation and this gift card can be used for purchase once you bill in in Best buy. 

 

I have purchased on 13 December and i am not able to use the Gift card until 14 December. That is my problem and i specifically asked best buy employee about 24 hours time duration. But he told no you can use it to book the flight now itself. That is the problem i mentioned. Please read my questions carefully. If you cannot give some solution for it, Could you please give me the managerial email address to escalate this issue.

 

Because i like to escalate this issue to the next level and get the justice for this.

Welcome to our community forums. Having purchased my fair share of plane tickets I understand how important it is to make your purchase at the right time to get the best deal. I would be happy to help you look in to this to see what options we may have available to assist you. At the time of purchase Best Buy activates gift cards. It may be possible that this takes longer to be valid in the payment systems at other retailers this would be at their discretion. Once a gift card has been purchased we are unable to process a return or exchange for it. Hi Andrew,

 

The solution you gave is not at all acceptable and i need the resolution for it. I like to escalate this matter to get the correct solution for it. I dont like to go back and forth with BEst buy and delta on this issue. I need resolution for it.
