I've just recently started preordering items (movies mostly) and encountered a first this week. I picked up an item which saw a recent price drop of a couple dollars. My best buy app and the receipt given at pick-up showed the lower price, but being a preorder, my credit card was charged the higher price that was shown the day before the item saw the price reduction. I'm not too worried about just a couple dollars this time, but there may be instances of bigger price drops in the future and I was wondering how this is handled.

Thank you so much for joining our community, and posting your question about your pre-order. Pre-ordering is a great way to ensure that you get a copy of a movie you’re super excited about seeing. I’d be delighted to see how I can assist you further.
According to our Pre-Order FAQ you should’ve been charged the lower price. I’m sorry to hear your card statement is showing you were charged the pre-ordered price. I’d be happy to see how I can assist you with this matter further. Can you please send me a private message with your order number, and full name? I wasn’t able to pin-point which purchase you were in need of assistance with using the details you shared upon joining our community. You can send me a private message by choosing the option to do so next to my name at the bottom. I look forward to your private message to help you dig into this deeper!
