Price Drop on Google Pixel 6 Pro

I purchased a Pixel Pro 6 on June 28th for $999. Yesterday on the last day of the 14-day window I noticed there was a $200 price drop. I headed down to where I purchased the phone to see if I qualified. Seemed like everything was going fine. Then they looked up my IMEI and said it was not qualified because it was purchased as a bundle. Not exactly sure what this means. I looked on my receipt and it shows the phone guy gave me a $50 discount. This was a replacement phone for an existing line. Tried calling 888-237-8289 but gave up after being on hold for almost 30 minutes. Just curious if someone can tell me in more detail why it didn't qualify. Thanks!

Re: Price Drop on Google Pixel 6 Pro

Good afternoon, gdellinger,

Welcome to our forums, and thank you for posting your question!  Our Price Match Guarantee is a great way to make sure you’re not missing out on any sales for your recent purchases, and save a few bucks in the process, so I can certainly understand wanting to take advantage of this program whenever possible.

In regards to the phone you purchased and your price match request, it looks like there may have been a few reasons your request did not qualify.  First and foremost, it looks like the particular model you purchased is currently unavailable, and as outlined in the Price Match Guarantee terms, out of stock items would not qualify.  Additionally, the 14-day return/exchange period for mobile phones begins on the day the phone is in your possession, which would put yesterday at the 15-day mark. Finally, if your phone was part of a bundle offer at the time of purchase, this would disqualify it as well.

I hope this clears things up, but if you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Regards,

So, yes the reason for the decline was "Bundled". They said it was still in the date range. So what does bundled mean? I bought the phone and a case.  Does the free 3 months of youtube premium that was thrown in count as a bundle?

Re: Price Drop on Google Pixel 6 Pro

Hi, gdellinger,

While I can't speak to to the conversation you had at your local store, from the information you've provided here, your purchase would have been outside the return/exchange period.  In regards to any bundles, products that come with free or discounted items, such as a subscription service, would be considered a bundle.

With that said, I want to make sure I'm providing you the most accurate information possible, so I'd like to take a closer look at the purchase you're referring to.  If you could send me a private message with the following information:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The "Customer Service PIN" from the bottom of your receipt

As you can imagine, we'll want to keep this sensitive information out of the public view of our forums, so be sure to utilize the blue "Private Message" button in my signature to get this sent my way.  If you're accessing our site on a mobile device, you may need to switch to "Full" or "Desktop" view before this button is visible to you.

Thank you in advance,

In simple terms , your product had promotional items bundled. As to qualify it has the be a regular sale item within the terms and conditions.

From the PM Site
