Prestonwood Store in Dallas

The prestonwood location in dallas is easily the most horrible Best Buy I have ever been to.

A few months back I purchased an iPad Pro which turned out to be defective and several hours later was told by the employees at this store that I could not return defective product and would have to contact apple. After arguing I drove to a different location that informed me they get angry customers from the prestonwood store on a regular basis.

This past Friday I stopped back into the prestonwood store to pick up a copy of super Mario maker 2. I tracked down an associate who promptly turned away from me and started walking the other direction when I approached. After I got him to stop I asked where the copies were located, he quickly informed me that they were all sold out and all other Best Buy stores in DFW were as well. I knew this was untrue because the app on my phone showed all locations near me, including prestonwood, had plenty of stock. After pressing this employee again he disappeared for a few minutes and returned with a special edition of the game that I didn’t want and cost more than the regular copy. He again told me that they are all sold out of the regular edition as well all other DFW stores. I showed him the app again, which showed plenty of stock, and I asked him if he would check again since he was wrong the first time and was told, forcefully, that he didn’t need to check and they were all sold out (even though the app, and another employee at this point had told him they had plenty of stock).

This employee had on an “apple expert” lanyard, so the best I can assume is that he couldn’t be bothered to track down a copy of the game as this location doesn’t keep high demand games on the shelves.

Something is seriously off at your prestonwood store in Dallas.
