Poor customer service

I tried to return a product under assumption I had 30 days since I was a Best Buy elite customer. When I tried to return the product your associate told me that I was not a Best Buy elite members and only had 15 days to return the product. I get that, but the problem was that the customer service person gave me no other option and when I contacted corporate customer service they told me to speak to the store manager to give me a one time customer courtesy on the return. When I tried to contact the store manager all the associates gave me the run around because he was not available.

I have purchased well over $3000-$4000 worth of product the past few years, due to this transaction and complete disregard of customer service and loyalty I will never shop at Best Buy again, not only that I’m going on my Facebook and Instagram to post how disingenuous you are to good customers. My friends will probably read and share my post since I rarely post to
tell you how angry I am at the moment. The sad part about this is that I don’t shop at the Best Buy store in Middletown out of convenience I can easily go online at Amazon and get what I need. That is exactly what I’m going to do since they would gladly receive my return after 15 days.

People wonder why Amazon is such a behemoth, because organization like yours are stuck to archaic rules and nuances instead of really trying to service the customer. Now my new surface pro will be purchased somewhere else along with all my other electronic holiday gifts and gift cards. What a shame!

Our Return & Exchange Promise will vary in time based on a members' status with us. It is accurate that our Elite and Elite Plus customer's enjoy a longer Return & Exchange Promise. This is a benefit that many of our customers work very hard for, and we take great pride in having such amazing customers. As our Elite and Elite Plus customers work very hard to obtain this status and the benefits associated with it, we would not generally be able to make an exception to our Return & Exchange Promise. 

 

I do understand that this is not the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope that it sheds some clarity on this issue. If there is anything additional that we can assist with, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
