Poor Business Practice and bad Management

Tonight my family & I stopped into your Douglasville, GA location after dinner. Wife wanted a new laptop to maintain her website. We were able to be helped quickly and picked a laptop an Asus $299.99 While in this section I picked up a Samsonite Business backpack $84. We continued through every part of the store overall spent about 2.5 hrs there. I have been wanting some wireless earbuds, my wife & I spent a lot of time in that section looking and comparing all that you are offering. Ultimately I decided on the Sony WF-1000XM3 retailed in your store for $229. When headed to the checkout My wife said Best Buy has a price match guarantee. She found the Sony ear buds at Amazon & Wal-Mart for $198. $31 cheaper. The Cashier pulled up something on his computer and said I see it but this has to have mgr approval. No MGR came. Cashier said they said no. At that point we did not purchase the ear buds or bag costing your business $282 in sales instead of just costing you $31 in a price match. Probably also went ahead and lost this customer to Amazon and anywhere else but Best Buy for good.

Re: Poor Business Practice and bad Management

Hello, Craigmac32,

Thanks very much for joining the Best Buy Community forums, and for reaching out. I appreciate your patience in waiting for this response.

Our Price Match Guarantee is a great way to pay the lowest price possible. In order to match Walmart, we must be able to verify the product is available locally. For Amazon, the item needs to be shipped and sold by them. These are the most common reasons for this kind of request to be denied.

Those prices are probably changed by now, but, if they aren't, please send me a private message through the link in my signature with links to those prices. I can see if it is something we can match.

Sincerely,

Re: Poor Business Practice and bad Management

It doesn’t matter now because I have purchased them elsewhere. But just so you know I am well aware your Price Match policy and it was sold and shipped by Amazon and the local Wal-Mart had the item in stock. Had the manager bothered to come talk to me or even check on the item they might have known that. As well as know your company was putting them on sale 2 hours after I visited the store.

Re: Poor Business Practice and bad Management

Hi, Craigmac32,

Thanks for letting me know that. I'm sorry that we weren't able to get that price match made for you.

I hope you're enjoying those headphones, and I hope you won't let this one bad experience turn you off to shopping with us forever. I am confident we'll provide you with superior service if you do.

Sincerely,
