Partial Refund on partially defective item?

I bought an Insignia 55" TV stand, and part way through the assembly, I couldn't get the front (part with the doors) on. I realized that the 3 screw holes for the bottom were on the other side. So I swapped the legs and middle dividers around and continued to work.

After nearly 4 hours, I was done, but I noticed that because I had to swap the dividers around, I couldn't put the shelf in (the holes to put the shelf supports in were facing the wrong way).

Live chat said to exchange it, but I told them I have no means to move this item fully assembled, and I don't want to have to reassemble another one.

Does Best Buy offer a partial refund for something like this? I mean, it's not only a product they sell, but their product (Insignia). Would it be best to return to the store or contact the help line? Thank you.
