I ordered a TV on the 10/24 and told them I would be picking it up on 10/30. I got an email on 10/27 at 11:20 saying someone picked up my order so I immediately called customer support. The time stamp on my phone is 11:35 am 10/27. They told me it must be an error that sometimes happens and not to worry about it. So I go in on 10/30 and they don't have my TV and said it was picked up. We go through the camera footage and it's clear as day not me. It was some guy wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses on the store which is already sketchy. I even got them to pull up the footage of me buying it and it showed it wasn't me that picked it up. The police have been called and there is an investigation. They have the guys license plate number even. What's crazy is the person has my order number and they said he showed an Id. Which the camera shows him showing something for about 2 second. This honestly sounds like whoever sold me the tv has someone comes still it. They aren't refunding me or getting me my TV and I have to dispute the charge with my credit card. What sucks more is they got me to get that total protection plan when I was buying the tv which was suppose to cover anything happening with the purchase. I am pretty much in a waiting game now. My wife has called their corporate offices about three times so far.
They said they followed protocol so it's not their responsibility but if they had followed protocol wouldn't I have my TV. The person that sold me the tv was in the store that day even. It's so dumb to because I was originally gonna schedule delivery to my house that day but they talked me into just picking it up. I'll here back from the police investigators in a week. It sounds like best buy will only give me the tv that was stolen if they get it back even. So they are gonna try to give me a used tv when I bought a new one. This is very serious too because this was a purchase over 2k.
