Overcharged on PC purchase

Purchased a CyberPowerPC that was on sale for 1199.99.

Also had a BB CC coupon valid for 10% off any 1 item.

Because we were in a hurry, we didn't notice the total was

rather high given the sale price and 10% discount.

Based on total charged, I was not only not given the sale price,

but the 10% off was from an amount more than the regular price.

My receipt went thru the laundry so I don't have a hard copy, but I do have the total price listed in my

purchases and I can do math.

How do I get a price correction?

Re: Overcharged on PC purchase

Hi there, Phil,

Welcome to our community.  Like you, I want to ensure that I pay the right price for whatever products or services I purchase.  I admittedly don’t keep as close of an eye on my statements as I probably should, but I’ve made it a habit to keep all of my receipts in one place until a transaction posts to my account just in case I need proof to file a dispute.

I was unhappy to hear there appears to have been some sort of discrepancy between the price you were expecting to pay and what you were actually charged.  I noticed you sent in a private message about this purchase as well and took a peek at the account in question.  While I was unable to locate the purchase you’re referring to, I did notice that your name was not listed on the Best Buy Credit Card that was used on this transaction.  As such, I’d be unable to further assist you directly due to our Privacy Policy.

If the purchaser can reach out to us and verify their information, we’d be happy to take a closer look at how we can assist at that time.  They may reach us here on our forums, or at 1-888-BEST-BUY (237-8289) if more convenient.

Thank you for taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention.
