We ordered a home theater system on 1/2, and it is to be installed on 3/11. I kept checking the status of the order and everything seemed to be fine, until today, when we were notified that the sound bar is out of stock and it's not clear when it would be available. We were not told when we ordered it there there would be any issues with availability. I understand that things are not always available, supply chain, etc., but we ordered and paid for this item a month and a half ago, and we just find out today that they don't have it. I feel like Best Buy needs to develop a better way of communicating to customers (especially those who pay to be TotalTech members) what the staus is of their orders so that we have some insight as to whether we will be receiving the items we have paid for.

Thanks for joining us here on the community forums. Although, I wish it were under better circumstances. When I order an item, I expect it to be delivered on time, so I understand your concern. As you stated there are several reasons items can be out of stock. Unfortunately, we do not have control over this. We try to provide products in a timely manner, but if a vendor runs out of that product, we have no control. I hope you receive your purchase as soon as possible.
