Hi everyone

I am so frustrated with the customer service of best buy where everyone is giving different answers for the same thing

I bought a open box sony projector from bestbuy yesterday it does not contain any warranty document on it

I tried calling the best buy customer care omg he was so rufe and he even hangup the call. I don't understand why am enterprise like bestbuy is so neglecting the quality of customer service like this

He said first sony has 3 years warranty on it from the date of original purchase but he said he can't give the original purchased date

How the hell I would know the validity of my warranty then

Thats frustrating. 

However, you can register it direct with Sony online.  All you need are model number and serial number. And just use the date you purchased it. There should have been a red and white sticker on the projector or the box it came with. Try looking there to see if it was on there.

This projector should come with a warranty that starts on the date you took possession of the projector. In my experience most projectors have a one year warranty, but it would be impossible to say without getting the exact model number of the projector.
