Hi, I have recently purchased an open box Dell laptop, but the bluetooth and wifi did not work. Bestbuy says that they inspect their products before they sell them, but clearly, this wasn't the case. I brought it back for an exchange, but they would not do it unless I paid the difference. https://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Best-Buy-Store-Purchase/exchange-an-open-box/td-p/1118695
This says that as long as you are within 15 days, you can return and exchange the product for the same, correct?

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums. Thanks for posting your question!
When exchanging an open box product, you do not necessarily have to exchange it for another open box product, or even the same model. That being said, if the item you are looking to exchange it for is more expensive than the one that was originally purchased, you may need to pay the balance. If the item you are looking to exchange it for is less expensive than the one that was originally purchased, you may receive a partial refund.
If you have any additional questions, please let me know!

nckhammond is right on with his response. If you were to experience a hardware issue with the laptop, your computer would likely be sent out for repair. In some cases, an exchange for a replacement device may be approved. Exchanges would typically be for similar technology or credit not to exceed your original purchase price. It would not necessarily be replaced with the exact same model.
