What are my options for a Wacom 13.3 drawing tablet purchased on 8/16/20 thats opened but never used w the receipt & my card used for purchase? Two days after I purchased it I went in the hospital due to COVID-19 & just got out yesterday so obviously I missed the 14 day return period. I was dropped from my classes due to not being there the first month & now I no longer need the tablet for school. I was told there's nothing that can be done even with proof that I was hospitalized for the last 34 days & missed the return timeframe. I really can't afford to lose out on $500 esp now so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Outside of the official 15 day return policy, any exceptions would be granted by the local store management in which you are trying to make the return.  Did you get to speak with the General Manager or any other managers in the location, or was it just the customer service associate that said nothing could be done?  As a former Operations Manager there were plenty of times where upholding the policy made sense, i.e. returning unopened items 5 years after we stopped carrying them.  On the other hand, there are also extenuating circumstances such as your predicament.  I would make sure I spoke to the store management up to and including the General Manager.  If they hold fast to the policy and you have other stores nearby, it might worth trying.  Ultimately, it will be their decision.  Hope this helps.

I’m very glad to here that you’ve recovered from having COVID-19.  I hope that you are feeling much better now, and I’m sorry to hear you couldn’t make your classes, thus making this Wacom tablet unneeded.

As our friend jdogg836 mentioned, beyond the 15-day Return & Exchange Promise for most customers, we wouldn’t be able to offer a return or exchange.  You can find more information on that here.  Please know that should a store manager be willing to make that exception for you, it would typically be for a store credit, and not a full refund.
