No more price match in store?

I went to the local best buy store looking for phone cases for 11pro-max. I usually do a quick check to see reviews and  online prices any better before buying.   I tried to look up several cases from oterbox and UAG and could not find them on amazon app using the barcode.


I put the barcode number directly into amazon app and got nothing.  Google would only return results for the item number.   I seems that bestbuy has their own model number for all the items I checked.   Exact same case on amazon or on have a different part number (amazon, ebay and all match each other). 


When I put the part number from the item in hand at the store into the search box on nothing came up.


It seems that bestbuy has gotten its own unique part numbers for products from otterbox and urban armor gear which makes it impossible to price match as the numbers do not match.  Looks like they found a way to say they price match without ever having o actually do so.


is this conclusion correct?   Are there other brands for which BB has unique part numbers?
