I purchased a Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) on 01/07/2023 for $249.99 and on 01/21/2023 I noticed the price dropped to $199.99. After checking Best Buy website, was informed to contact the store or by phone. When I reached a Sales Associate (by phone), I was informed that he could not issue a refund due to the purchase was made with Visa Vanilla Gift Cards and would have to request a refund by check with Customer Support. Unable to reach them on Saturday or Sunday when call was transferred by the Sales Associate, I tried again on 01/23/2023. The CS personnel reviewed all my information and informed me that I missed my 14 day return period. When I explained I had been unable to complete the transaction on Saturday / Sunday with CS, she said there was nothing she could do and I would be unable to receive the credit. I ask to speak with a supervisor and she informed me that all supervisor lines were busy but would have one return my call. The call never came.

I am surprised that you were told this. At the end of the day, you would think that A Visa or Mastercard, would be just that, gift card or not. In those little pouches that the card is in, there is a leaflet in there that has tiny letters that I can barely read.
Inside, on some of the sections, they talk about keeping your card around in the event you must get a refund from merchandise or services rendered. They also have sections inside the leaflet that talk about what to do in the event of a transaction amount dispute and so forth. also how to resolve dis-satisfaction from goods or services purchased with your card if you are unable to come to an agreement.
