I’ve been trying to purchase a dishwasher at the Winston-Salem, NC store for almost a month. First dishwasher was brand new and combined it with a refrigerator and very expensive Dyson vacuum. Used a new Best Buy credit card and got the 24 month special financing because of how much money I spent. First dishwasher was delivered with a damaged toekick and missing the leveling feet. I returned it due to my frustrations with poor communication regarding delayed delivery and the lack of seemingly reasonable accommodations for the poor condition of the dishwasher at the time of delivery. I came into the store for a separate smaller purchase and noticed an open box Bosch 300 series dishwasher. I reluctantly decided to purchase this unit because of the price and even opted to pay for the installation this time around because of my frustrations with the first one. I no longer qualified for the longer term special financing because the amount of room left on the card was only enough to get 6 months. The tag clearly stated “no missing parts” so imagine my surprise when the call from the installer was to tell me that it is missing six mounting screws and both mounting brackets are broken. I went to the store and purchased a 5 year protection plan this mourning and asked if anything could be done with the price since it was clearly mislabeled as is now delayed until they get the parts in from Bosch. Of course there is nothing they can do at the store and when I called customer service they told me that it can only be handled in store. I worked at this store for two years in asset protection and now I fully understand why I had to deal with some of the customers that I had to deal with at the door. I will never make another purchase at Best Buy again. They lied and misrepresented their product and then gave me the lazy response of “I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do”. Highly, highly disappointed with the store, the situation, and the lack of acknowledgement from the corporate level.
