Monitor came broken

I Purchased a monitor on 2/28/2021
The shipment date was on March 2nd . I opened the box and set up the o monitor on April 1st and never would have occurred to me that Best Buy would have sent me a damaged and broken monitor . Due to covid reasons I have not been able to return this item until today . The monitor was broken in the shipment box . I want to exchange the broken monitor that was shipped to me .It is unfair that Best Buy is not willing to exchange an item that was damaged in their care . I was told that it’s outside of the return and exchange period , and I find this to be unjust and completely unfair . I even purchased a 4 year warranty and still I was told that Best Buy would not cover anything . I feel that this company has scammed me .
I hope to hear soon from customer support services on how this issue will be handled in a fair and just manner .

They give you 2 weeks to inspect the item from the day you receive it. You have far exceeded that, you can call and get a credit for the extended warranty thou.

Our Return & Exchange Policy outlines the amount of time you have to complete a return or exchange from the day you receive your order. I understand you said the product was shipped on March 2, and you didn't open the box until April 1. While this is well outside the timeframe specified on the returns page I shared, I'd be happy to document your experience in our corporate system. In addition, as nckhammond also mentioned, you're welcome to call (800) GEEK-SQUAD or (800) 433-5778 about receiving a pro-rated refund for the warranty you purchased.
