Money held hostage for 4 days

Purchased a Samsung - 75” QN85B online 8/4/22. Drove to store for pickup only to learn that the item was too big for my vehicle. (Totally my fault) returned to pickup this morning 8/5/22. mounted and turned on the tv only to find that the screen was broken at bottom center. Returned item for exchange at store only to be told they have none in stock and it would be 4 days until item could be delivered. Only options given were to refund item, wait 4 days for delivery, or choose a different item to replace. Only other option that was comparable was the Samsung QN90B. Small price difference so I thought “no problem” only to be told that they do not have any in stock. 2 brand new 2022 tv’s on display yet not available. Ok I’ll cut my losses and refund item to purchase at competitors store. Nope, refund will take 3-4 days. So no tv and I’m out $2500 with nothing to show for it till next week. Customer service in store could do nothing (not their fault that whoever orders product can’t do their job) and manager could do nothing even though another store 30 minutes away had in stock availability, yet still a 4 day shipping time to the store? I shouldn’t have to wait 4 days to receive what I have already paid for due to in store incompetence.

Re: Money held hostage for 4 days

Hello, Tryingtobecalm

Welcome to our forums! I can understand your concern when there is no stock of the appliance you are looking for.
I’ll be happy to take a closer look into this matter and offer any additional assistance I can, however, I’m hoping you can provide me with a few pieces of additional information before I’m able to do so.  If you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:

• Your first and last name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your order number

This should be enough for me to begin my research, and hopefully get you the assistance you’re looking for.

Regards,

There is no blue “private message” button in your signature. Only “Add Comment” or “Accept as Solution”

Sounds like you're viewing from a mobile browser, you'll need to click the button at the bottom of the page that says "full" to see the website as it was intended.  From there, you'll see the signature button.

I am a Best Buy Employee, but the views that I post are my own and not that of Best Buy.
