Misleading Price on different products

Hello,

I went to the Manassas VA store on Saturday 4/3 to buy a computer. They had the computer for $600, the display pc was silver with white keyboard. I asked for help and said I wanted the same computer that was on display because that was the one with the price of $600. I receive the confirmation email saying i should be receiving the pc on 4/5, but I noticed it said “black” not silver. I rushed back to the store and they said they couldn’t do anything until I receive the pc. On 4/5 I received my order, I didn’t open it as they advised and I went back to exchange it and the associate told me that that computer was $799 so I went back to where the computer was and I TOOK A PICTURE, this time it was for $649 and they called the manager, he said he couldn’t do anything about it, I asked for a manager and he said he was the manager and asked him if there was someone else I could speak to, and he said he was the only manager there. He went to see the pc I wanted (he didn’t know I had gone and check on the computer again, let alone I took a picture of the price they had on it) and told me that that pc was for $799 and I refuted his statement saying I went to check on the price again and was for $649 and told him I took a picture for what he was surprised and did not say anything. I told him they were putting the wrong prices in the wrong items so they could attract people’s attention and make them purchase something they didn’t want. And I guess this is something common for Best Buy to do because I have read other forums and there are many people like me! IT IS NOT FAIR THAT NOW I HAVE A PC I DID NOT WANT because of the misleading information management have enabled at that store. They did not help me at all, being the fact that it was their mistake. I have with me pictures with their false prices on the wrong items, I have calls I have made to Best Buy CS, receipts and a computer I don’t want. Can anyone help on here?

I love a great deal myself, so I can understand wanting to get the best pricing on your tech and wanting to ensure that the pricing is accurate. I'd be glad to step in and assist however possible!

When you get the chance, can you please send me a private message that includes your full name, phone number, email address, and the Customer Service PIN located near the bottom of your receipt? Please also include the name of the manager you spoke with, and the SKU of the original laptop you were originally interested in so I can review this further. I hope to hear from you soon!

I’ll press “accept as solution” but right now, I’m skeptical on how this will be of help. I already set up the computer I don’t want in my living room because after no help from management, I was forced to keep the computer since they had already checked my credit for it is financed. Last night 4/8 I called customer service and the agent hung up on me. Today I spoke with another agent- a helpful one, this time in Spanish, to see if the help would change, it did. He informed me customer service doesn’t take complaints and that I should call corporate and that Best Buy had two managers in the store, NOT ONE. I’d like to clarify that the original sales associate that help me with the transaction was very nice and kind, but forgot to emphasize that the price they put on the silver computer was for the black not the silver. I was there for about 45 minutes and when I realize I was getting the wrong computer I didn’t hesitate to rush back and was also assisted by two other nice sales associates.

I’ll be providing the information asked in your previous reply, but first I’d like to know why these prices are being put on the wrong items? It seems that is a common thing going on at some Best Buy stores because I have read other similar comments from customers in other forums. I’m glad I have pictures to argument on this from actual items and prices.
