So I purchased a new Asus laptop this weekend and added Microsoft Office for Home&Student along with it. I got home and followed the setup instructions on Microsoft but I get an error saying that the product key I'm using hasn't been activated. I've seen similar posts like this where it seems like going to the Best Buy I purchased my Microsoft setup at wouldn't be helpful and calling them wouldn't help either. I've tried chatting with a live agent but it was temporarily shut down. I'm out of town this week so I can't go to my local Best Buy. I talked to the support over at Microsoft and they can't help me unless I purchased Microsoft directly through them which I'm guessing I should have done. Can anyone help me? I need Microsoft for work.

I'd like to take a closer look into your order for you, but will need some information to begin. If you will please send me a private message that includes the following, I’ll do my best to determine the best course of action:
