Microsoft Office product bought in store

Good afternoon,

 

I bought at BestBuy Doral FL Store, an HP 2in1 computer, as well as a license for office 365. Now that I'm trying to activate my office license, I'm getting the following message:
 
"Sorry, it looks like this product key hasn't been activated by the seller. Please, go back to where you purchase it to have it activated.
 
I called the customer service phone nomber and spoke with multiple people and all said they couldnt help me with the activation as I purchased office 365 in a store and not online. The only solution offered is for me to go to the store again. I had to drive a long way to buy the product and now for a mistake of the cashier I have to drive to the store again.
 
Please asist me with a solution for this issue.

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry that your Microsoft Office key is showing as not activated.

 

We do not have a way to activate the key remotely, and this would need to be taken care of hands-on at one of our stores. My best advice is to head over here to set up a reservation to visit your local Geek Squad. Bring your laptop in, along with your Office key and your receipt. They can check it out and see if they can get it working for you, and explore other options if they cannot.

 

I’m sorry that you’ll need to take another trip into one of our stores for this, but that will be the best solution for getting this resolved.
