I have seen some instances where Best Buy mods can help but there are important things to remember. This is like a gift card and is like cash. So if its lost , Best Buy can only replace cards up to the balance that was on the card.
Also I don't know how you lost it, but if someone had used it online or in store and the balance is less than you thought it to be, this cannot be replaced unfortunately.
Did you use a My Best Buy account when purchasing? If so, this may help them track down your return. It also helps that you use the same email address to sign up on the forums as you did when you created a My Best Buy account due to privacy and security reasons.
