I got these earbuds a little over 2 weeks ago, and just this morning the left one cut out completely. I had charged both of them overnight and had used both for almost 2 hours today before this happened. I tried putting it in the case in case it wasn't actually charged but when I shut the case it makes a really consistent and high pitched noise. This noise also happens when I put the right one in on its own and when I put both of them in at the same time. I tried factory resetting them, the right one worked but the left one seems to be completely unresponsive. I'm charging the case to see if that solves anything. Just to clarify these are the $69.99 version and I bought them from my local Best Buy.
