Issue with cancelled item and paypal. Full amount is still being held.

I made a purchase using my PayPal account. The amount was allocated and held by PayPal and waiting for BB to take. I ended up having to cancel my order but a day and a half later it is still saying awaiting authorization on my paypal account. Spoke with PayPal twice and they are saying BB needs to void the authorization request, but BB customer service rep keeps telling me they didn't charge me so they there is nothing to refund, I dont need a refund I need the request voided so PayPal will release my funds. This is a 30 day hold on a little over a thousand dollars if the request isnt voided. How can this be resolved, is there a better department I can contact to handle this?
