Instore returned item still waiting for refund more than 2 weeks.

I made a purchase of ipad pro on 28 th feb. i didnt get a receipt so i had to return it and repurchase the item. Lady told me it would take some time for my money to be returned. Its been 12 business days now. I tried to contact live chat but they are only helping with tech problems. No email for customer services. I live out of united states so i dont want to spend money on international calls. That leaves only this forum for contact with best buy. How long does it take usually for the money to be returned?

Welcome to our community, although I wish it were under happier circumstances. Like you, I tend to pay close attention to my accounts, especially when I'm awaiting a refund. I know I would be concerned if funds I was expecting did not appear as promptly as I'd hoped.

 

While most credit card refunds will fully process within about 3-5 business days, if your purchase was made with an international credit card, I recommend allowing up to a full billing cycle for your funds to appear on your statement.

Well if it was a credit card maybe that would make sense and it would be okey since I wouldn’t actually pay for it. However i made the purchase with debit card and actual physical money was taken put of my account. There are no monthly cycles to wait. Now its been 17 business days. Can anyone provide me with some managers mail adress or something?

We know this refund is important to you, so we appreciate you taking the time to explain the situation further. If your debit card is associated with a bank that is outside of the United States, that could impact how long it takes your bank to process the refund on their end.

 

Since you still aren't seeing the funds returned to your account, I recommend working with your bank to see if there's anything they can do to speed up your refund. If they need more information from us to process the return, please send over your full name, phone number, and email using the "Private Message" option in my signature.
