In store refusal coupon

Elkridge Columbia, Maryland store. Refused the use of 20% off for open box built in fridge and built in appliances coupon. (If y'all accepted pics I'd attach) I was told by the assistant manager that I was already getting an open box price and dishwashers are not considered built in! Yet...both the website and tag on dishwasher clearly states "built in". I was with my daughters and didn't want to make a scene w my toddler in hand, but this is absolutely atrocious! This is false advertising...Can someone pls explain why I am unable to use the coupon? The coupon is specifically for open box items so the assist mgr response of I'm already getting a good deal doesn't jive. Can someone pls clarify with a better statement than I'm already saving over a $100?!? I've been searching for a deal and a dishwasher...this was the reason for my purchase!

Coupons are a great way to save a little extra. I’m sorry to hear that your local Columbia Best Buy was unable to apply your coupon to the open-box dishwasher you had your eye on, and they weren’t able to clearly articulate why.
