I placed an order for in store pickup and a few days before I went to go get it, I got an email saying it had been picked up! I did not pick it up.
I called the store and they basically accused me of lying and told me to call the 1-888 best buy number.
I called the 1-888 best buy number and they told me to file a police report!!!!
This is unacceptable. I'm not going to waste a cop's time with this nonsense. It's Best Buy's problem. Your store screwed up and you should be responsible for fixing the screw up.

Our Curbside Pickup is intended to be a safe and easy way to get just what you need. It's accompanied with strict verification policies and practices to avoid these kind of pickup issues. I hate to hear your order was picked up by someone other than yourself who you also did not designate at the time of checkout.
That being said, while we encourage you to file a police report regarding this incident, I also recommend working with store leadership further on this as well. Have you been able to get in touch a manager at the store this occurred at?

Thanks for getting in touch. The store management wasn't helpful. They just told me to call the 1800 number. And the guy at the 1800 number told me to file a police report. I don't accept this solution. I'm not going to waste a cop's time with this.
