Impossible to cancel delayed order

On August 1 I ordered a set of speakers for my son. They came on time but after setting them up they were making a noise that was unrelated to the music so on the 14th we went to the store to exchange them. Best Buy near us didn't have it in stock so we ordered it at the store to be shipped to us. The money was already taken from my account since this was an exchange.
the delivery date was August 18 and on that day I received an email that it was delayed. We didn't want to wait for them so I tried to cancel online but it wouldn't let me. After an hour of calling, being hung up upon and waiting I finally spoke to someone who told me I have to cancel at the store where I ordered it. That by itself was frustrating! I'm trying to minimize going into store during this time of pandemic not to mention I am a working woman.

At the store I spoke to the manager, who was confrontational and unpleasant and couldn't cancel my order either because "the system didn't let her".
we are a week later and I still cannot cancel it or get my money back.

This is beyond frustrating. Best but is holding my money hostage. In the meantime we bought the speakers elsewhere because we don't want to shop at Best Buy anymore. As soon as possible I will cancel this order and get my money back. This should not be so hard!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our community forums. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your recent experience with this order. I can certainly understand wanting to get these speakers as quickly as possible.

 

As the store manager may have mentioned, we are typically only able to cancel an order within 30 minutes of it being placed. Based on your message, it sounds like you were provided the correct information though I'd like to look further into this.

The store is Skokie. I called and chatted with corporate and no one would help although the email stated it would be canceled by yesterday. I just want my refund.
