I need advise

Hello, i bought a canon camera around 7 months ago. I used my bestbuy credit card to purchase it. I bought a warranty for it for 3 years. The problem is that i have not really got to use the camera as much as i thought, and im going to college right now and i am in the need to purchase a pc, i was wondering since i bought the warranty for the product if i could get store credit for my camera and use ir towards the purchase of the new pc, i would be adding adds on to the pc as well as a warranty for it. The camera is in great condition and works fine i have used it maybe 3 times in the 7 months. Please if someone could help me with this i will really appreciate it.

The return period is normallyv15 days, 7 months is by far past that and they would not return it.

You can see if that camera can be traded in for store credit, check the trade in program on thier web site

You can usually cancel unused portions of extended warranties and get some credit there also, call the 800 number to find out.

I purchased a nice camera few years ago myself, and I have not used it as much as I had hoped I would. I can understand why you’d be looking into your options, especially with the expenses you’re faced with when going to college.

 

As nckhammond mentioned, it sounds like you are beyond the return period, which is typically 15-days for this type of purchase. The Trade-In Program is certainly something to consider, if your camera model is listed as an eligible device. That list is constantly being updated, so don’t be discouraged if you are not seeing it at this time.
