I have been robbed by my local store...

I needed a hard drive to fix my daughters laptop. I went to the Bloomington, IN store and I asked one of the guys there ( he was the younger one) what kind of hard drive I needed and he grabbed an M.2 one from the back and told me that was the one I needed for her laptop. I get home and I open up the laptop and discovered that she had a SATA only and no M.2 slot at all. Without even opening the box, I returned to Best Buy to exchange it for the correct one for her laptop and they told me to go back and get the correct one. I did and then came back to the front dest and I was immediately approached by the manager with an opened box with a piece of wood with a sticker on it in his hand and told me to get out and I am never allowed to come back or I will be arrested... I tried to tell the manager that I didn't do this and that the package was never even opened, it still was completely sealed when I returned it but refused to listen to me. I believe the young man who gave me that box had switched it before giving me the box and now I'm out a lot of money and I was publicly humiliated! I called the police and an officer came out but there was nothing he could do and suggested I contact  the corporate office with this. I tried calling and the 2 people tjat took my call both ended up either getting disconnected or they hung up on me so I'm reaching out on the forums. Please, someone help me?
