I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your 15 day return policy. I bought a $25 item which I was unhappy with and brought it back 60 days later for a refund. I was told that because the box was open and it was past 15 days, there was nothing they could do for me and neither a refund nor store credit was available. The box and contents of the item I was attempting to return were in perfect shape.
One of the main reasons I shop at Best Buy is because I know that if I have a problem with something, I can drive back to the store and talk with someone face-to-face. However, now that I know the return policy is so limited, I plan to shop elsewhere.
Because I have young children and a family business, it is sometimes difficult for me to get back to a store to return something that isn't working for me - this is the reason for my delay in getting back to Best Buy to return the item.
I have bought a lot of merchandise from Best Buy over the years, both for my business and personal use, but now that I know that the return policy is so limited, I will be shopping elsewhere. (Today is the first time I have ever had to return a purchase.)
Just as a comparison, I bought an Apple accessory from Wal-Mart on the same day as my Best Buy purchase, and was able to return it today (after 60 days) to Wal-Mart without a problem.

Our Return & Exchange Promise does provide a 15-day return period on most items we sell for most of our customers. A longer period is available for our Elite and Elite Plus My Best Buy members. if you are looking for a longer return period, becoming an Elite or Elite Plus member may work for you.
Was there anything wrong with the product that you purchased? If so, many items come with a manufacturer's warranty that may entitle you to a repair. I'd be happy to look into that for you if you send me a private message, by using the link in my signature, with your name, email address, phone number, and the customer service PIN from the bottom of your receipt.
