Thanks very much for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I know how disappointing it must be to miss out on a sale like that.
It isn't uncommon for items that are at a great price to sell out both in our stores and online. If that happens, and we later re-stock after the sale ends, we cannot honor previous pricing.
My best advice is to keep an eye on our Weekly Ad to see if we put another computer on sale for a price that works for you.
If there's anything else I can help with, please let me know.

Good afternoon, joeymagz34,
I appreciate you taking the time to reach out with your question. KyleR-BBY isn’t currently available, so I’ll be glad to step in for him.
Products are differentiated in our systems and sales by specific models and SKUs. Each model or SKU may include different accessories, have different specifications, be a different color, or have any manor of unique attributes. Sales should be tied to specific SKUs which is why substituting a different item or series of items wouldn’t provide the sale deal. That deal would have been tied to the specific SKU that had already been sold out in your situation. I hope this clarifies why buying multiple different model numbers separately wouldn’t be the same as buying the product model that was on sale.
While I understand this answer is likely not what you wanted to hear, I hope it helped to clarify. I’m sorry to hear that you don’t want to make any future purchases with Best Buy, but if you change your mind or have questions or concerns that I can assist with here, please do feel free to reach back out.

Hi again, joeymagz34,
I appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback about sale product availability. While your final purchase wasn’t with Best Buy, I’m happy to hear that you were able to buy a product that works for your needs. I truly hope you have a great day, as well.
All the best,
