I just bought a 77” A80J for $1670 at a Best Buy about 45 minutes drive from me. It’s listed as open box excellent, I’m curious what goes into labeling something as excellent and whether it’s a good indicator of the panel probably being fine and just a return.

Hello, ahanimakh.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us on forums about open-box items.
Open-box items go through many factor before the decision is made on there marked condition status. Customers return opened products for a variety of reasons; a wrong color or model, or the TV or appliance was too big to fit. Some products served as in-store displays. Each open-box product was tested or inspected to verify proper working order and physical appearance. Once that is done, the product would be assigned a condition. In addition, most open-box products include all parts and accessories ( exceptions are noted as part of the product's condition). I hope I was able to answer your question about open-boxes. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. If not, I hope you have a great day.
Thank you,
