I purchased an open box HP Omen 30L Gaming Desktop and even though it was in excelent condition- the computer shuts itself off and closes all my applications. Sometimes it won't wake up again and I have to force shut it down. Sometimes it wont even force shut down, I have to unplug it and try again.
I have tried fixing the registery, gone to microsft forums for help. I've reset windows 11, and I've downloaded and resintalled windows 11 but I continue to have this issue. I purchased this desktop a couple months ago and didn't notice this was an issue until I stopped using it for work. Whenever I leave it on and it goes into standby mode, it restarts itself. The power options have been defaulted and changed a couple times.
What do I do? I'm passed the return timeline and I paid good money for a desktop that doesn't work as advertised.

Get a USB Flash Drive of at least 16 GB and write a Windows 11 ISO to the USB stick. In accordance with the manufacturer instructions, boot from the drive and delete all partitions and start out as a clean install. You should have no issues with the installation from the start up. Once you complete the install, sign into your Microsoft Account and then proceed to update your computer through Windows Update.
Please note that since you're outside the return policy you will either have to go through Geek Squad or HP for support as open box items also carry warranties.
If you want to utilize the warranty then its best to leave the partitions as is. Just thinking out loud here.

Hello, kingmaples.
Thank you for reaching out to us and I am sorry to read that you've had some challenges with your purchase of a desktop computer. Did you buy it online or was it purchased in the store?

I know that can be frustrating, especially when the computer isn't living up to its own hype. Have you discussed the issue with Geek Squad? They may be able to help you trouble shoot the issue so you can use the computer as you intencted.
