Thanks for joining our online community, here on the Best Buy Forums!
It's always exciting to get a new TV. I recently moved and really enjoyed setting up my new living room, including picking out the perfect TV. I'm sorry for all of the confusion that happened with your purchase.
If an item was opened and used prior to being returned, we would typically expect it to be sold as an Open Box item. If an item is returned, but it was never used, it may not be listed as an Open Box item. Have you already reconnected with the store in regards to your concerns, or are you looking for assistance with getting in touch with the management team at the store?

I can understand wanting to have the best experience possible with your new TV, and feeling uneasy in regards to the availability and status of the TV. I think testing the TV out at the store to make sure that it meets your needs and expectations is a great recommendation. Both New in Box and Open Box have the same return and exchange period, and you would have the same options for adding a Geek Squad Protection plan.
Based on what you have shared with us so far, I'm not sure if we would have any additional new in box inventory available in your area. Can you share the model number or SKU of the TV, and let me know which store you were initially trying to pick up at?

Thanks for confirming that for me. If the TV that is currently reserved for you does not fit your needs, I would recommend seeing if there is any possibility of having one transferred in by placing a new order at the store. It does not appear that this model is available for shipping or delivery in your area.
