As stated above, I lost my old card and got a new one. I currently have the Fire Emblem Three Houses collectors edition pre-ordered and Death Stranding collectors edition as well, but both were pre-ordered through the app using my old lost card. I called and talked to a customer service rep that told me that all was okay, and that when the first order (Fire Emblem) is charged for authorization that it will fail and I will recieve an email where I can call in and change my payment info. I just wanted some reassurance that this process I was told of on the phone is legit and safe, as leaving my pre-orders with a cancelled card on file and changing the payment info last minute makes me very nervous. However, if this has happened to any of you guys and you've successfully been able to change payment info after receiving the email about the authorizaion failing on the old payment method then I will trust that and ignore my anxiety.

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for taking the time to write to us about your pre-orders. As someone who pre-orders almost every game I buy I can understand being stressed out about your orders being cancelled. I would be glad to give you some more information about how this process works. Did you make these orders on our website or at one of out store locations? That will change the answer a bit on how to get this updated. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Thank you for the speedy reply! I pre-ordered both on the mobile app with my old debit card, so there was no down payment or anything, I was charged the full authorization for both and then the charge dropped off a few days later for both.

I appreciate you clearing that up. As our agent mentioned, our system should automatically send you a message if we have trouble with your payment when getting ready to ship your order. I know that you won't want to worry about being able to receive your pre-order. You should be able to give us a call at (888) BEST-BUY or (888) 237-8289 and speak to one of our phone agents and update your payment information for both of these orders.
