Galaxy S10 trade in promotion

Hi, I called my local bestbuy yesterday about the S10 trade in promotion. My current phone is an unlocked S9 plus (SM-G965U), they told me that I could only trade in if my phone was previously activated with Att, sprint or verizon, my phone is not activated at the moment but I used it on Mint Sim. Also they told me that the $550 gift card the give with the trade in, can be applied to S10 if I buy it. Can anyone confirm if I can trade in the phone and apply the gift card to the S10? Thanks

Re: Galaxy S10 trade in promotion

Hello, gnouel,

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums. I am glad you’ve joined the community, and we encourage you to browse the boards as often as you’d like. Feel free to interact with other customers and moderators. We are happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

The new Samsung Galaxy S10 phones have been getting quite a bit of attention, and it sounds like you are in the market for one as well. A new phone is always exciting, especially when there are such great promotions going on. The Trade-In offers are only available in-store, and some stores may have more restrictions than others. It is going to be best for you to work with a Blue Shirt at your local store for the specific details, but you can click here for the Terms & Conditions. They are near the bottom of the page you will be taken to.

To answer your question about using the gift cards, yes, in most cases you can use them towards the purchase of the new phone. Please make sure the Blue Shirt that is assisting you knows you intend to do that prior to beginning the transaction.

If there is anything else we can help with, feel free to let us know.

Hi, I'm a tourist looking for an S10. My S9, activated on a non US provider (Claro, Brazil) can be elegible for trade in?
