The store manager in Culver City told me they were escalating the issue to a regional manager. No one ever called me or contacted me … it’s been four months. It’s impossible to get in touch with a manager on the phone.
I’ve been so the store at least 5 times, they tell me I have to call customer service. Customer service tells me I need to go to the store. It’s an insane amount of being pushed around and everyone is avoiding actually helping me get this issue resolved. It’s not fair, and I can’t waste any more time on this.
I paid for items with a pre-paid Amex gift cards that I got as a gift from my previous boss. It was over $700 dollars worth of items. Home security system stuff that I needed by a certain move in date.
The store clerk threw the card away because it had a zero balance on it since all the money was spent on the items. He threw the card in the trash. This has been documented from the store to corporate. I stood there while it was verified.
The items were canceled (which was already an issue because I had to be in our home for another week without security), and the money was refunded automatically back onto the card that the clerk threw in the trash.
I have no access to the card, the card number, and calling Amex will do nothing here. The card is not tied to my name.
I want a check written back to me asap for the $739.96. IM NOT WASTING ANY MORE OF MY TIME TRYING TO GET MONEY BACK FOR ITEMS YOU CANCELED AND RETURNED MY MONEY TO A CARD THAT THE STORE THREW IN THE TRASH.
Need someone to get back to me.
