Faulty fridge

We just purchased an LG fridge on 5/13 and the water/ice tasted like chlorine. I called on the 13th day and was offered a replacement filter. We have dumped like 6 batches of ice and both ice makers still taste like chlorine. Water is now fine.

I call on the 13th day from the replacement filter, (7 days beyond the 15 days) and now I am being told to contact the manufacturer and that I should have asked for a replacement fridge I stead of accepting the filter.

We decided to purchase from Best Buy because the employee in the appliance section was so confident in Best Buy’s ability to assist with issues and are extremely disappointed.

21 day old fridge with a faulty water/ice maker and now it’s just “too bad.” Hard to believe that this is the service we are receiving after spending over $3k and flagging the issue within the exchange/return window.

Is the issue the taste of the ice? Give it some more time it will go away. I have had 4 new LG refrigerators amongst me and my family and they all have done that when new for a few months.

I have had multiple fridges and never had this issue. Thanks for the feedback though!

No problem. I went through the same thing the first time way back and had my fridge replaced twice and the only thing that got rid of the taste was time lol. Great fridges though, they have all been reliable.
