I purchased Samsung Galaxy S20+ with Verizon and Best Buy had false advertising. It says 5GB Shared Data Plan is $30/month but I am hit with $65/month because of MANDATORY $35/month line access fee! That's more than double my original price. This is definitely false advertising (and yes this is on top of my monthly phone payment so my total bill is more than $100/month)

This seems normal, and somewhere in the Verizon terms it should denote the cost of all fees and taxes associated with phones. Phone carriers have all gone to this billing model and advertise the cost of the data plan separately from other fees. Why? you might ask. Well that 5GB shared plan can be split over multiple devices depending on how many you have, but each have their own access fee to get access to that data bucket.
A typical phone bill consists of:
Main Line
Shared Data Plan
Additional Line Access Fees (equal to the number of additional phones)
Just looking at BestBuy.com, it does appear in the on screen details once you select Add a Line and log into the Verizon side of things. This makes sense because those fees are handled by the carrier and have nothing to do with the promotions Best Buy offers on the device hardware. This would be identical no matter where you shop for a Verizon phone. Hope this helps clear up any misconceptions.

It still is false advertising. It should have mentioned the mandatory line access fee unless I am already a verizon customer and just adding a line. That should be the default action. It's different from goverment fees or taxes - if you go to Verizon website, it specifically mentions the line access fee and it never advertises its shared data plan as $30 or $35/month plan because they do know it's false advertising but best buy doesn't.

what the...I never accepted the above reply from a best buy employee as a solution but best buy just accepts it as a solution? It didn't solve anything!!!!

did you read? It does NOT list the fee.
choose verizon and shared 5GB data plan. I even talked to Verizon and they say it seems to be an error on best buy's side because verizon website lists it as $65/month (or $55/month after the autopay)
