Faded Receipt- Manufacturer Warranty


I recently encountered an issue with my washer that is due to manufacturer error. I have reached out to the manufacturer and they agreed to remedy the problem, however, they requested proof of purchase.

I made my purchase in August 2012 and although I have my receipt, it is faded to the point where it is unreadable. The store I purchased it from is now far from me.

Please let me know if its possible to retrieve a copy of this receipt. It was an in-store purchase with my BestBuy CC. I've contacted a couple BBY members to avoid making a post, but unfortunately I have not yet received a response in a little over a week.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Best Buy Forums. While typically receipts are not kept for this long, it is possible that your local Best Buy store may be able to retrieve the receipt from your purchase history. If this is possible, any Best Buy location should be able to assist you with this, even if it is not the store of original purchase.

Hi Jenni...they were able to determine the warranty by the serial # on the washing machine.  Thank you for the follow up though, much appreciated.
