Employees taking my order for themselves, twice.

Hello, I am a Best Buy customer from Oklahoma. I have been having my orders shipped to the Norman, OK location over the past month or so. In that time I have attempted to purchase a brand new graphics card for my pc on two separate occasions.

 

The first order came in 3 days early and was immediately sold to an employee who opened it, removed all protective packaging, and peeled off the factory plastics. I have no way of knowing what else was done to my graphics card during that time. So safe to say I can not consider this a brand new card. Anyway, the day the employee took my item, I didnt receive any phone call or notice until after the close of business. The phone call I receive was suspicious enough for me to walk in to the living room and ask for help in retaining the information being shared in the call, i.e. record the phone call.

The following day I go to the store to pick up the item and it is completely unpackaged. This is not an acceptable condition for a brand new high demand computer part. In an effort to keep the issue from escalating I was given an option to buy the item at a discount and also given a gift card. This kept me from reporting what happened to me.

Flash forward to exactly one month later I am able to again place an order for a brand new graphics card. Now it is well into the day of delivery (Saturday) and I have heard no word or received no indication that my order is being processed at all. I know that these graphics cards tend to arrive early and would bet it was at the store on Thursday or Friday. I thought they would not possibly try to do this to me again after two different managers admitted to knowing better.

 

Due to the lack of communication from the Best Buy Norman Oklahoma team, I am forced to assume they plan to get away with it this time. This is not right. I made my purchase fair and square and the opinions feeling or desires of the employees behind the counter should have absolutely no effect on it.

 

I do not deserve this, please help me.

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for reaching out to us regarding your recent experiences at our Best Buy Norman location. It's certainly concerning to hear that you have been having so many problems with your recent orders and I'd certainly like to look further into this to better understanding what is going on.

 

I'm a bit confused by your post and have a few more questions. You mentioned that this second order was not yet ready, can you please provide some more details on how you know this was taken by an employee? Can you please clarify which store managers you spoke to and when? Would you be able to provide some more details on how you are aware that this graphics card has already arrived? 

 

I'd also like to review these orders here at our Corporate Campus and will need some more information in order to do so. Can you please send me a private message that includes your:

Okay I typed out an entire response in a private message but it does not show in my sent folder. This worries me because I just spent quite alot of time on my response. If in an hour it still doesnt show ive sent a message I will do it all again.
